MIRA’S STORY

Our journey began with a mission to bring laboratory services closer to underserved communities during the 2020 pandemic. Today, we’re leading the way in precision medicine for pharmacies, clinics, and patients—empowering healthcare with personalized, innovative solutions.

Mira’s Beginning

Founded in 2020 during the global pandemic, Mira Precision Health—originally known as Mobility Health—began with a mission to bring molecular diagnostic testing closer to communities in need. Driven by the strength and empowerment embodied in the name Mira, our founder and CEO, Dr. Sandra Gunselman, envisioned more than just access to healthcare. Her goal was to reshape the future of precision medicine, ensuring that every clinic, pharmacy, and patient has the tools to make informed, data-driven decisions about their care.
As a certified member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), Dr. Gunselman exemplifies leadership and innovation in healthcare, advancing precision prescribing and pharmacogenomics (PGx) with a commitment to excellence. Mira’s story is one of empowerment, not only reflecting the strength of women but also the empowerment of healthcare providers to deliver precise, personalized care that transforms patient outcomes.

Mira’s Approach to Precision Medicine

Our team understands the frustration of trial-and-error treatments, which often result in side effects and delayed care. Finding the right medication can take years, leaving conditions poorly managed.

We’re committed to changing this by delivering innovative solutions that streamline workflows in pharmacies, clinics, and practices. Through precision medicine, we empower care teams to make better decisions, improving efficiency and patient outcomes.

Our Executive Leadership Team

Dr. Sandra Gunselman is a seasoned expert in molecular biology and laboratory operations, with over 25 years of experience building high-performance, cross-functional teams in the life sciences. She most recently served as Executive Director at National Jewish Health Advanced Diagnostics Laboratories, overseeing hospital, reference lab, and CRO businesses. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Laboratory Operations at Myriad Genetics, joining through the acquisition of Assurex Health.

Dr. Gunselman’s leadership extends across strategic direction, resource optimization, and technical project management. She excels in scaling operations, troubleshooting complex challenges, and driving successful outcomes in dynamic, multidisciplinary environments. Her previous roles include Vice President of Operations at Transgenomic, where she further honed her ability to lead large-scale initiatives.
